The Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park is a living museum dedicated to conservation, education, recreation and the exhibiting of animals in a quality manner.

Visitor Services

Stop by our ticket booth for services such as admission and membership purchases, change for Barn Yard feed machines, and other information.

Zoo Tram

The zoo provides free tram rides to the top of the zoo for all our guests who are unable or need help walking up our hill.

First Aid

First Aid is available at the ticket booth and main office. To find these areas, please pick up a zoo map when you enter our gates.

Minors

Guests who are under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older at all times. This is to ensure the safety of all visitors and our animals on exhibit.

Smoking

For the health and safety of our animals, smoking is prohibited at the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park.

Baby Changing

Changing facilities are located in the restrooms by our main office.

Guests With Disabilities

Information for guests with disabilities is available at our ticket booth. Wheelchairs are available on a first come, first served basis.

Strollers

Stroller rentals are available at the ticket booth for $2.00.

Service Animals

Guests who rely on service animals may bring them into the zoo, provided that the animals remain properly leashed. Guests are solely responsible for the care and control of their animals. Dogs or other animals are strictly prohibited on zoo grounds with the exception of service dogs. Please also be mindful of leaving pets in your vehicle while visiting the zoo. It is not permitted, and we will ask you to leave.

Exhibit Closings

Exhibits may close temporarily due to animal health, weather, mechanical, safety conditions, and other reasons. We will do everything we can to re-open as soon as possible.

Food and Beverage Policy

Food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted within the zoo. Feeding of the animals is strictly prohibited due to health and other hazards.

Lost and Found

Please see our ticket booth for any missing items. If your missing item is found after you have left the zoo, we will contact you by phone.

Photography

All visitors are welcome to take photos and/or video for personal use. Commercial photography requires prior approval from our Development Department. The Binghamton Zoo will occasionally take photos or video of visitors for educational and promotional purposes. Entry into the Binghamton Zoo grants permission for the use of these images.
